Bridgeport ... A Community Living and Growing Together

REGULAR Town Board Meeting: Tuesday, June 2, 2020 | Election Committee Agendas & Minutes | More Information: Agendas  , Minutes  , Schedules

Because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Federal and State Declarations of Emergency have been issued that recommend non-essential employees shelter in place and work from home when possible to promote social distancing. As a result, Waste Management has significantly reduced its “field” work force and is focusing on the performance of essential services during this unprecedented emergency. Because of its importance to the health and safety of our society, municipal solid waste collection and disposal is deemed an “essential service” in most instances, and so Waste Management’s employees dedicated to collecting and disposing of trash are in the field continuing to perform this critical function.

Bridgeport Charter Township Downtown Development Authority Regular Meeting

Wednesday April 8, 2020 – 12:00 p.m. Governmental Center

MEETING CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19

To ensure the safety of Bridgeport Township residents, business owners and employees during this COVID-19 pandemic all non-essential interior residential, industrial and commercial inspections are suspended until further notice.

Due to the COVID 19 concerns, we are canceling the April 7, 2020 Board Meeting. After polling all board members, regarding attendance, we will not have a quorum. Understandably, they are all concerned about their safety and their families. In checking with the M.T.A. (Michigan Township Association), we will not be in violation of the O.M.A. (Open Meetings Act). We would have nothing on the agenda that couldn’t be addressed at a future meeting. If it should be necessary, the Township Supervisor can call a special meeting. If this becomes necessary, we will notify our residents as to when that meeting would be held. Our next meeting is scheduled to occur on May 5, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. We will keep you up to date of any changes regarding meetings, etc.

Thank you for your understanding and PLEASE adhere to the stay at home declaration issued by Gov. Whitmer.

Augie Tausend, Township Supervisor

Rose Licht, Township Manager
