What's Happening with Bridgeport Parks and Recreation

Good Afternoon Friends of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation,

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Parks and Recreation part time assistant for Bridgeport Township and give you a peek into what programs are coming up.

My family and I have lived in Bridgeport for over 30 years.  I grew up playing softball every Summer with Parks and Recreation. Later, I helped with coaching my own kids T-ball through 14 and under Baseball and Softball.  I have a heart for this community and love helping kids develop skills and attitudes to help them become better versions of themselves.  My passion is to assist families with programs that bring our community together.  Imagine learning new skills and making new friends at the same time! Some program ideas I will oversee that are currently in place are Yoga, Pound Fit Fitness, Basketball, Baseball/Softball and our Summer Camp.  There are new programs starting up that I’d like to introduce to you also.  They are listed below.  If you have program ideas or just want to say HI, please reply to me.  It would be wonderful to hear from community members what YOU need.

Adult Co-Ed Softball – Sunday Fun League.  Starts August 19th.  Games played at 1pm and 2:45pm.  This is limited to 6 teams so if you want a registration form, please ask right away.  Cost is $250 per team. No player fee.  9 games played until September 23rd.

Munckin & Me Mondays – Moms or Grandmas can get together with their “munchkin” (children 0-5years) at Davis Park on Monday August 13, 20 and 27th.  Let’s see how many new friends we can make.  Bring a blanket for a picnic and a snack to share.    We’ll meet at 11am for about an hour or as long as the toddlers will let us!
