BRIDGEPORT CHARTER TOWNSHIP GOVERNMENTAL OFFICES

Bridgeport Charter Township Governmental Center has officially begun operations at the new location - 6740 Dixie Hwy. (formerly United Pentecostal Church). Please note this location as our new mailing address. All payments and other transactions are to be made at the new location.

General office hours are from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. The payment drop box is also now available at the new location. All phone numbers remain the same.

This relocation occurred due to serious environmental and structural issues identified at the previous location. These issues arose due to the building being constructed on property previously used as a landfill.

NOTICE: Township Offices Update

On Monday, April 9, 2018, environmental testing activities were conducted by AKT Peerless Environmental following reports of odors and headaches by staff members on Friday, April 6, 2018. Based on the past use of the property as the Bridgeport Township licensed sanitary landfill servicing Bridgeport Township in the 1960s and 1970s, preliminary tests were conducted to evaluate air quality within the building and soil and ground water conditions adjacent to the building. The preliminary testing results identified methane within the groundwater beneath the building and within the indoor air.
