Dixie from Birch Run Road to Junction. This portion also included the Roundabout at Curtis and Dixie.
Work has started and intermittent lane closures will continue. Dixie will remain open.
Paving from the Cass River north to and including the Junction Rd intersection is complete.Paint is also completed in this area.
Right Turn Lane construction for the various intersections will continue and likely be finished next week.
Temporary line stripes on Dixie will be placed (scheduled for Tuesday) to adjust for the lane closures and traffic shift to accommodate the work at Curtis Road.
The Closure at Curtis Road is scheduled for Tuesday after Memorial Day. This has been bumped out due to various weather delays. Reminder that when the Curtis closure happens, Dixie will remain open to through traffic.
We anticipate the mill returning next week to focus on portions between Townline and Maple. The first of two layers of asphalt will follow the mill within a few days. Schedules will be determined next week based on weather.
This portion of the project is expected to be completed around Labor Day.
Dixie from Willard to Birch Run Road
will likely be bid in June. A traffic signal will be added at the Burt Road intersection and center left turn lanes will be added for this intersection. Construction for this portion of road will likely begin in late July. The roadwork will likely be complete by November with the signal installation likely in the winter.
